1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an Eventrigger account, authentication is provided through Clerk. Depending on the authentication method you use, Clerk may process information such as your email address, name, authentication identifiers, and other account information associated with your account.

Eventrigger Account Data

Eventrigger stores information associated with your account so that the application can provide its functionality. This may include your Clerk user identifier, email address, name, and account creation date.

Trigger and Event Data

When you create and use triggers, we store information required to operate those triggers. This may include trigger names, trigger identifiers, event identifiers, event types, event payloads, and timestamps.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to create and manage your account, authenticate you, provide the Eventrigger trigger and event system, allow you to manage your triggers, and maintain, secure, debug, and improve the service.

3. Third-Party Providers

Eventrigger relies on third-party providers to operate portions of the service. For example, Clerk provides authentication and user-management functionality, and MongoDB is used to store application data. Those providers may process information according to their own privacy policies and agreements.

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Authentication functionality may use cookies and similar technologies required to maintain secure sessions. Clerk's authentication system uses cookies as part of its operation.

5. Analytics & Tracking

We use third-party services to understand how Eventrigger is used, maintain the service, and help protect our systems. We use Umami Cloud for privacy-focused website analytics. Umami may collect information such as page views, referrer information, browser type, operating system, device type, country, and session activity. Umami states that its analytics are anonymized by default and do not use cookies. We also use Cloudflare for DNS, network, security, and traffic services. Cloudflare may process information about requests to our website and APIs, which can include IP addresses, traffic routing information, and other technical information associated with network requests. Cloudflare provides analytics that may show information such as visitor counts, page views, countries, and other traffic metrics. We use Clerk to provide authentication and user management. As part of its services, Clerk may process information including your IP address and approximate location associated with your authentication activity and sessions. These third-party providers process information according to their own privacy policies and applicable agreements.

6. Data Retention

We retain account, trigger, and event information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

7. API Endpoint

When you fire or listen to a trigger/event, Eventrigger may create a log associated with your account. These logs may include, but are not limited to, your public IP address, response times, trigger IDs, event IDs, listener activity, and other technical information needed to operate, monitor, secure, and diagnose the API. API logs are stored in our database and are automatically deleted approximately 24 hours after they are created. You can view your recent logs and their estimated expiration time from the Logs page.

8. Data Deletion

You may request deletion of information associated with your account, subject to applicable legal or operational requirements. Deleting your Eventrigger account may also result in deletion of associated triggers and application data.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. However, no internet service can guarantee absolute security.

10. Generative AI

We use Generative AI to enhance and build features on Eventrigger. None of your data is provided to Generative AI. Data is protected and can only be accessed by authorized personnel.

11. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have rights concerning your personal information, including rights to access, correct, delete, or otherwise control certain uses of your information.

12. Children's Privacy

Eventrigger is not intended to collect personal information from children in circumstances where doing so would violate applicable law. Users must satisfy any minimum age requirements that apply to them.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we may update the effective date and provide additional notice when appropriate.
